Crack, and mp3's

I wonder how many of my friends suffer from dry eyes, headaches, back aches, and erratic sleep patterns. The articles premise is around 40% of Warcrack players are addicts. I now feel slightly better about my addictive personality :-)

I've been fighting with getting mp3's working again since I updated my work box to SuSE 10.1. There are many solutions, the Fluendo MP3 GStreamer plugin being one of them. Unfortunately I couldn't find any rpm's for the distro so I had to build from source. GStreamer seems to of got rid of the need to register plugins however this also means there seems no sane way of letting it know you have a locally compiled plugin installed. In the end I hacked it by forcing configure's --prefix=/opt/gnome and it all started working.

So now I have my full collection up and running you can see what I'm listening to at work on lastfm. You know if you want to stalk me or something....
