Newton was right

It seems Newton knew what he was talking about when he formulated the laws of motion. I'm not entirely sure what happened but I had just made an avoiding manoeuvre for the large truck coming through the traffic calmed pinch-point just down the main road. For some reason my front wheel turned 90 degrees and brought the bike frame to a rather sudden stop. Students of physics will appreciate the fundamental laws of inertia were still in effect with respect to my body which ended up forward but grounded. No major damage done although I was quite winded by the landing and had to sit for a bit. I have a large graze of one arm which apparently took most of the fall and a mobile phone shaped bruise forming on my right thigh. I've decided working from home will be the order of the day today.
