It speaks volumes about how much Labour believe in themselves that they put a candidate up for Henley, one of the safest Tory seats in the country but won't for Haltemprice and Howden. It's odd logic because there, with the Lib Dems stepping aside, they arguably stand a good chance of beating Davies on a single issue they claim popular support for. As it happens they got more than a drubbing in Henley being pushed way into 5th place behind the Greens and BNP. So much for saving money not fighting lost causes.
